2009 was a great year for new Marilyn books and this book was without doubt the most fun. It’s a collection of cardboard cut-outs of Marilyn in various costumes with some “savvy fashion quips” for each of the twelve paper dolls inside.

These captions are very funny and it made me smile looking through it.Although it’s classified as a book and looks like a book, it’s more of a toy as you can punch out and play with the cardboard images and fix them on a stand. You can decorate your house or a dinner table with them to great effect.

The images are all in color and the quality of them is exceptional. Where images have originally been black and white, they have been colorised and look amazing.

Most are costumes stills from her films with some early cheesecake shots, celebrating the timeless beauty and fun side of Marilyn we all know and love. It’s a nice item, unusual, cute – the perfect novelty gift for the Marilyn collector and well worth adding to your collection.
