The latest Marilyn book to come from France, The Hell Of Glory, is a look at her life primarily through her films and working relationships with her directors, producers.
The book details that despite what all has been written and revealed in the past, what is often forgotten is that she was also an actress; a great and beautiful actress whose memory endures in our eyes through her 30 movies.
The first half covers her life up ’til 1951and the second takes us to 1961, with a section covering 1962 and her death. There’s a filmography at the end with film poster illustrations. It’s illustrated with many familiar pictures on every page and this is why I chose to review it because it’s a nice little collectors item for lovers of all Marilyn books even if you don’t read french, it a worthy addition to your collection.
